去年夏窗时，曼联对麦克托米奈的报价持开放态度，他吸引了西汉姆和纽卡的兴趣。而后麦克托米奈留队成为了队内最出色的球员之一，上赛季他打进10球帮助球队赢得足总杯冠军。
曼联已经拒绝了加拉塔萨雷对麦克托米奈的兴趣，而富勒姆将他视作帕利尼亚的潜在替代者。
