10月13日讯法国后卫韦斯利-福法纳日前接受了媒体采访，并捍卫了姆巴佩。

姆巴佩能为皇马出场却没有入选本次法国名单，他因此遭到国内球迷的许多批评，有法国媒体甚至表示，姆巴佩现在专注于金球奖，国家队的比赛打算少踢。另外，瑞典媒体表示姆巴佩在国际比赛日期间出现在斯德哥尔摩一家夜店，更是令法国球迷愤怒。

福法纳说道：“人们闲暇时间想干什么都行，今天我们队内没有讨论过这件事，我没有听过这个故事。”

“姆巴佩可以做自己想做的事，他是一个很出色的职业球员，也是一个很棒的伙计。我们是否过于放大这些事情？我不知道，他是最好的法国球员，所以他的一举一动备受关注也很正常。”
